Government to grant permission for pubs and restaurants to operate as takeaways as part of coronavirus response

Planning rules will be relaxed so pubs and restaurants can operate as hot food takeaways during the coronavirus outbreak.

What you will need to do:

1.       Change your food safety management system to include hot food take-away – for help, call 07811 192545 or email FCS@food-care.co.uk

2.       Obtain a stock of suitable containers

3.       Notify your local planning authority that you are changing the use of your premises for 12 months from A4 - drinking establishment or A3 – restaurants and cafes to hot-food takeaway
